The BormioAdvance revolution begins

Bormioli Rocco's Pharmaceutical Glass B.U. has developed a highly sophisticated technology that makes it possible to make moulded glass vials with optimum glass distribution and a weight reduction of roughly 30% compared to equivalent traditional vials. Thanks to BormioAdvance the company has launched an innovative range of glass vials that combines advantages in cost savings and performance with much improved practical convenience compared to existing products in the field of freeze-drying and sterilisation in general.

The Delta Vials, developed with
BormioAdvance technology
On the strength of its immense experience in manufacturing technology, Bormioli Rocco has succeeded in creating an innovative line of moulded glass vials for pharmaceutical injectables.

Features
These new vials are available in various sizes (from 10 to 100 ml capacity), are made using type I Borosilicate glass and propose an an optimized 20 mm DIN neck finish, guaranteeing a perfect seal and adherence with the cap. A stippling effect on the base can be carried out on request.
Designed to withstand the extreme conditions undergone by containers during freeze-drying processes, these vials make it possible to extend the use of moulded glass to the many pharmaceutical applications which up to now had no alternative to the use of tubular glass.
The advantages
The Delta vials offer superior performance from various points of view:
  • chemical durability
  • cost reduction
  • vial stability for higher performances of filling lines
  • resistance to mechanical impact and axial load
  • regularity and precision in the vial's neck finish
  • greater flexibility of shape and finish geometry
